In this lesson I tell you how to write profile text for the modeling sites that will make models want to shoot with you. And provide examples for all levels of experience.

Fashionably Elegant on a Budget

Sample Profile: Total Newbie

Thank you for viewing my profile. I am totally new to this kind of photography and want to connect with others new to create a great portfolio for both of us.

Right now I’m working on a project based on the 10 things a woman needs to be Fashionably Elegant On a Budget. A little black dress, stiletto shoes, matching handbag, a trench coat, a white blouse, cashmere pullover, jeans, a white T-shirt, a pearl necklace and lipstick.

I’ve got a photoblog where I publish the best images from each shoot and hundreds of people visit it and see the pictures.

I know what it is like to be new and not have anyone willing to shoot with you, so I’m willing to shoot with any model, no matter your type, sex, or experience until I’ve got a good basic portfolio. Probably around 5 shoots.

When I do a shoot with a new model, I hire a makeup artist and rent a studio to do the shoot.

If you are interested in being part of my current project send me a message right now and we’ll set a time to shoot.

Sample Profile: Intermediate Profile.

Thank you for checking out my portfolio. I hope you enjoy the images I’ve created and posted here. You can see even more on my website.

I have a photoblog that is part of several photography networks and receives hundreds of visitors every day. The best images from each of my shoots are posted to that blog on a daily basis, so by shooting with me you have the opportunity to be seen by thousands of people.

Some of my images were featured on the Best Apprentice feature of the Photographer And Model blog and were nominated for Picture of the Day on Model Mayhem.

While I’d love to shoot all day everyday, I can’t. I’ve got a day job and for every shoot I do, I spend hours in post processing to create the best images possible. So if you are interested in shooting with me realize openings are given on a first come basis and based on your applicability to the projects I’m shooting right now.

If you are interested in being part of my current project send me a message right now and we’ll see if I can fit you in.

Sample Profile: Advanced

Thank you for checking out my portfolio. I hope you enjoy the images I’ve created and posted here. You can see even more on my website.

I have a photoblog that is part of several photography networks and receives hundreds of visitors every day. The best images from each of my shoots are posted to that blog on a daily basis, so by shooting with me you have the opportunity to be seen by thousands of people.

I teach model photography both online at PhotographerAndModel.com and at my studio, Houston Skyline Studio. I’ve been published in Gothic Beauty, a national fashion magazine, produced the 2007 Goth Swimsuit Calendar and been on a photography and modeling reality TV show, Best of the Best 2.

While I’d love to shoot all day everyday, I can’t. I’ve got a day job and for every shoot I do, I spend hours in post processing to create the best images possible. So if you are interested in shooting with me realize openings are given on a first come basis and based on your applicability to the projects I’m shooting right now.

We’ll be working in my 2500 sq ft studio in downtown Houston. (http://www.houstonskylinestudio.com/). With professional studio lighting equipment sponsored by ProPhoto. I require a professional MUA to do your makeup in all my shoots.

Currently I am shooting glamour (lingerie and nude), and fashion images for use on Glamour Apprentice. Most of my shoots are video taped and used as teaching tools for my students. All models need to be comfortable with this and willing to sign a release to allow it.

I’ve found the best way to communicate about the kind of shooting we’re going to do is to start with a modeling application. If you are interested in shooting with me, please go to my website and fill out my modeling application.

Finally if you are worried about shooting with me, here are a few recommendations by other models who have shot with me and you can feel free to contact them.

Recommendations

I worked with Ron recently at his studio doing a boudoir shoot that was outstanding! He was so easy going and it was a great atmosphere to work in, I never once felt uncomfortable or awkward. We got some great images and I recommended a few friends to him whom he shot with and they felt the same. – Candy Phillips
Ron Davis, summed up in one word is genius. I had an amazingly fun time at our shoot. I am fairly new to this and Ron and his wife made the shoot comfortable and inviting. I couldn’t wait to get my photo’s and see what he was able to do with me. When I received them I was speechless at how he captured just the right expressions and just the right shots at just the right time. His amazing abilities to touch up and finish the photos left me with pictures that I can’t wait to show off! – Holly
Ron of Reactuate Photography is wonderful to work with! He’s very professional and makes you feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. His images are creative and beautiful, and will make you look great! – Scarlett St Vitus
I just had the pleasure of working with Ron Davis this past weekend. Our shoot was such a blast! Ron has such a positive attitude & he brings energy and smiles to the set. He is easy going, fun to be around and motivated to get the perfect shot! I highly recommend him! – Melissa Kaye
